My last Wednesday walk

2003 was a bit of a difficult time. Dick was working in Emerald a bit and I was doing up the house for sale. His job was in doubt but we couldn't talk about it.
The Wednesday walkers kept me together this year. I was able to report on my progress at home, a lot of this time spent on my own. I started washing on the front verandah around Anzac Day and continued around the house removing casement windows to sand and repaint, washing walls as I progressed.
We went to Lighthouse Rock although several people were up at Home Rule, past Cape Trib at Mt Pieter Botte and Cedar Bay for a week.
Phil Murray came back early to come on this walk and they took me to Mt Molloy pub for a beer after it.
I think these photos date from this walk. [first time I went]

View south from the rock,
to the road we came in on from Mt Molloy.

We went up here again on Wednesday 3rd September with Bob Lewis. A few of the regulars, including Sue were away on a trip to Mt Pieter Botte and Cedar Bay, south of Cooktown. Kathy was overseas on her trip. Phil Murray came back and camped overnight at Mt Molloy [Rifle Creek] to join us. The orchids in the dry creek on the way back were really good, some 6 feet high or so. Others on this walk - a young ambulance guy from Atherton, ..
After the walk, Bob and Noel, Phil and Valda took me to the pub for a beer which was really nice. It was my last walk before we moved.
